Immediately in front of The Forbidden City is Tiananmen Square. It is the world's largest public square. Here are a few photos taken in and around this famous area.
Hard to beileve this is the same square where that incredibly brave man with a shopping bag in each hand stopped that tank years ago. I wonder what ever happened to him. Apparently he was not harmed by the government but his bravery was incredible!! I remember holding my breath as i watched the incident on TV during the student uprisings.
